Your teacher will provide you with the resistor for you to test in this experiment.
Set up the circuit carefully and have your teacher check BEFORE turning anything on.
Data table reminders: Descriptive title. Column headings have units and uncertainty. No units (or unc) recorded with data. Data should have consistent precision (all volumes will have the same number of decimal places for example).
ON A GRAPH

a y-intercept is an indication of a systematic error. If the graph should pass through the origin, but doesn't, then that is a good sign there is some kind of built in error.
if the points all fall on or very close to a best fit line, there is consistency in your measurement - this is an indication of precision. If some points fall away from the best fit line, this is an indication of random error (and possible outliers)

The lab note requirements for this activity include:

a data table, a graph, and comments on the accuracy and precision of the data (indications of random and/or systematic error)
presentation reminders - printed report (before class) with RUBRIC stapled on top, sections in order, your name
the rubric is available in the course resource folder
you will be required to submit an electronic version of your lab note (in pdf format) to Turnitin.com. Directions on how to do this can be found on your HAIKU page.

MAKE SURE Logger Pro is set up correctly - sampling frequency etc BEFORE collecting data.
You may wish to try a different two microphone method - interesting (see diagram below from your text)
